Stericycle mise à jour sur les négociations #1 - Décembre 2018

December 20, 2018 - Your Bargaining Committee, consisting of Louise Davis (Unit 63), Joan Mitchell (Unit 63), Steve McWhirter (Union Representative), and Perry Pasqualetto (Chief Union Spokesperson), have served notice to commence bargaining with Stericycle. Even though your Collective Agreement expires on December 20, 2018, the terms and conditions of that agreement remain in full effect until a new Collective Agreement is ratified by the membership.

The Bargaining Committee met on November 19th and December 11th, 2018 to prepare for bargaining. A bargaining survey was launched and the Committee is proud of the large amount of participation from the members this year. The Committee has reviewed all the feedback and has set our priorities for this round of negotiations.

Stericycle members can be assured that the entire Steelworker organization is here to support them throughout bargaining. During the November 19th preparation meeting, Administrator Ron Wyatt and USW District 3 Director Steve Hunt met with the Bargaining Committee and during the meeting on December 11th, President Isabelle Miller, Vice-President Donna Hokiro, and Secretary-Treasurer Michaels Phillips, took time to meet and discuss bargaining issues and concerns raised in the bargaining surveys.

“I want to thank Louise and Joan for their dedication and commitment over the years and for taking on this challenge of negotiating a stronger collective agreement for our Stericycle members,” said President Isabelle Miller. “We are proud of these members and we are committed to working hard to protect their futures. We look forward to productive negotiations with Stericycle.”

The Bargaining Committee anticipates setting dates with Stericycle to commence bargaining in the New Year.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the bargaining survey. Together, we are Union Strong!

In Solidarity,

Your Unit 63 Stericycle Bargaining Committee
